In this post I wrote about why I make Hydrangea inflorescences with only 3 petals, and I wondered what happened to the fourth petal.
Perhaps it fell from the flower with the force of the wind and rain, or gave away with the weight of a soft drop of dew, but I like to imagine that it flew through the air or sailed through the waters of streams in search of new experiences, so as not to be just one of the four petals fallen from the flower, but a valuable existence in itself.
